General
how-to on installing a limited slip or otherwise stock differential
into a NT350 transaxle.
Anytime
you replace the differential, its bearing (which require you also
replace the bearing cups), you need to set the preload on the
bearing to insure longevity & trouble free operation.
The
photos show the many steps involved. Trannies shown are from a
2001 HO 2.0L Magnum and 2003 PT cruiser, both shipped from the
factory with a hydraulicly actuated clutch release bellhousing.
We
will not be using a hydraulic bellhousing on either of them because
they are destined for 95-99 neons which use steel cable style
actuated clutch!
Please
note the red fluid in the 2003 PT gear box even thought sticker
on the side spec the synthetic mopar fluid (part no. ........65)!!!!
I recommend using the older spec fluid and not the recent atf+4
that's been shipping from the factory. Appararently it was a cost
cutting move with no benefit to the consumer. Older fluid works
better!
